What inspires women to choose a career in ICT? What helps them grow and succeed? And what challenges still stand in their way?
These are the questions at the heart of the HER TECH project—and now, we need your voice.
HER TECH has launched a European survey exploring the experiences, motivations and challenges of women working and studying in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). By collecting perspectives from women across different generations and career stages, the project aims to better understand what encourages women to enter the field, what supports them along the way, and what barriers still need to be addressed.
Your experience matters—whether you are just starting your journey in ICT, building your career or have many years of professional experience.
The survey explores topics such as:
- motivation to pursue ICT,
- confidence and support,
- barriers and challenges,
- education and career experiences,
- generational perspectives.
The questionnaire takes around 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are completely anonymous. The results will contribute to European research and help shape practical recommendations for educators, employers, policymakers and organisations working to create more inclusive pathways into technology.
Every response brings us one step closer to understanding how we can create a future where more girls and women choose—and stay in—ICT.
