HER TECH is an initiative that aims to promote gender equality in ICT education and careers. It focuses on creating a more inclusive digital future by encouraging and supporting women to study ICT, challenging stereotypes and developing actionable policy recommendations that remove systemic barriers.

The project is aimed at female students and prospective ICT professionals, educators and teachers, policy makers, industry experts, employers and researchers working on gender equality and technology.

The main objectives of the HER TECH project are:

  1. To develop a gender-sensitive teaching framework that encourages girls to take an interest in ICT studies.
  2. To develop actionable policy recommendations that remove systemic barriers and promote inclusive change in education and industry to achieve greater diversity in the ICT sector.

The project aims to break down barriers for women in the ICT sector, create more inclusive learning environments, and raise awareness of unconscious bias in education. It will contribute to long-term change by promoting gender-sensitive policies and ensuring that the solutions developed are scalable and replicable across Europe and beyond.
