HER TECH is a coordination project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The aim of HER TECH is to contribute to the digital transformation of the European labour market by promoting gender equality in the ICT sector in 7 European countries and enabling more women to pursue and succeed in technology-related professions. We start at the bottom: we aim to understand the existing gender gaps in ICT education and careers and use research methods to assess barriers, challenges and opportunities for women’s participation in this field. Through events in partner countries, we will build a strong HER TECH network to engage stakeholders, promote best practises and advocate for inclusive policies in the ICT sector. We will jointly develop gender-sensitive teaching frameworks and training courses to equip educators with the tools and strategies they need to promote an inclusive learning environment. These courses will incorporate innovative methods such as multimedia, gamification and problem-based learning to improve engagement and skills development. In addition, we will develop policy recommendations that address systemic challenges in the ICT sector and advocate for structural changes in education and industry to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce. By working with policy makers, educators and industry leaders, we aim to break down stereotypes and open up new opportunities for women in the technology industry. The HER TECH consortium partners listed below process certain types of personal data for the purposes of the project. Each partner is responsible for the personal data it collects and processes during its activities within the project.
