The gender gap in the ICT sector remains a pressing issue across Europe, limiting opportunities for women and hindering the inclusive growth of the digital economy. This is where HER TECH comes in — a bold, transnational initiative funded by the Erasmus+ programme that aims to change the face of technology by putting gender equality at the heart of digital innovation.
With a consortium of seven dedicated partners from Croatia, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, Italy and Germany, HER TECH is on a mission to empower young women and underrepresented groups to actively participate in the ICT sector.
How HER TECH is making a difference
Developing inclusive curricula that motivate and support female students in the ICT sector.
We challenge gender stereotypes and highlight female role models to inspire the next generation.
We advocate for structural reforms in education and industry to ensure sustainable change.
Creating innovative learning resources and training programmes tailored to the needs of young women.
Building an international network of educators, researchers, policy makers and practitioners committed to knowledge sharing and long-term impact.
The project was officially launched in Zagreb, Croatia, where the partners came together to agree on the research methods and next strategic steps. The meeting marked a powerful start to a promising journey for women in tech across Europe.

HER TECH is more than just an educational project — it is a movement for equality, innovation and sustainable social change in the digital world.
Let’s build a future where technology is for everyone.
